The Museum provides a sensory-friendly experience on select Sundays throughout the year.
Hands-on, sensory-friendly activities will be available throughout the Museum. Drop by an artifact table or ask a guide to show you some fascinating touchable artifacts.
What to expect:
- Reduced ambient sounds
- Additional directional signs
- Noise-cancelling headphones, fidget toys and sunglasses available to borrow at the front desk to help make your visit more comfortable
- A designated quiet area
- Guide-led, hands-on presentations of artifacts
- Special sensory-friendly crafts

- 9:00–10:00: Early Sunday opening for those looking to avoid crowds for our sensory-friendly activities.
- 10:00–12:00: Sensory activities continue during regular Museum hours.
