The entrance to the Museum is a glass pyramid structure, located at 30 Bank Street, at the corner of Bank and Wellington streets.

Accessible parking
- There is no public parking available on site.
- Public parking is available at several city-operated parking lots near the Museum.
Visiting the Museum
Entrance and navigation
To locate our accessible entrance:
- Look for the glass pyramid structure. Our accessible entrance is to the right of the revolving doors.
- Take the elevator or flight of stairs down one level to the reception desk, where a staff member will greet you. The Museum is all on the same level as the reception desk.
Service disruptions
In the event of a service disruption at the Museum, we will:
- Notify visitors through the Museum website.
- Post notifications regarding the disruption within the Museum.
- Anticipate the duration of the disruption and communicate this information to Museum visitors.
Accessibility supports
Assistive listening devices
Fixed induction loop hearing systems at the front desk and in the programming space transmit sound directly to visitors with T-coil compatible hearing aids.
Braille
A braille book with an introduction to the Museum is available at the front desk by request.
Captions
Videos in the Museum have open captioning available in English and French.
Diaper changing and nursing
- Diaper changing facilities can be found in both the men’s and women’s washrooms across from the front desk.
- There is no private nursing room on site; however, mothers are welcome to nurse their babies anywhere in the Museum.
Food and drink
- Food and drink (other than water) are not permitted in the Museum.
- Special requests may be accommodated in the Museum’s programming space if arrangements are made in advance.

An introduction to the Museum in different languages is available at the front desk in the following languages:

- Korean
- Portuguese
Programs and guided tours
- The Museum can customize tours and programs to help individuals with disabilities get the most out of their visit.

Sensory information
- Some of the exhibits have background music that can be surprising or distracting.
- Except for the main entrance and the temporary exhibition gallery, the lighting in the Museum is low.
- Staff can provide additional tactile experiences upon request.

Service animals
- Service animals are welcomed.
- Guests bringing a service animal without visible identification may be asked for documentation from a healthcare provider.
Sign-Language Interpretation
- We will make every effort to arrange for an ASL or LSQ interpreter at no additional charge.
- Please contact us one month in advance to make this request.

The Museum provides a number of accessibility tools for visitors to borrow at the front desk:
- Magnifying glasses
- Noise-cancelling headphones
- Flashlights
Wheelchairs and mobility
- All public areas of the Museum are fully accessible for visitors using mobility devices or strollers.
- A limited number of manual wheelchairs and cane chairs are available at the front desk on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Seating is available throughout the Museum.
