The Good, the Bad, and the Fake
11 January to 11 August 2011
This was a youth-oriented exhibition about counterfeiting and how to tell the difference between real and counterfeit paper money.
In comic-strip format, the exhibition told the story of Zoë and Dave— teenagers who found a bag of money in an alley. At first, they thought they were rich, but the money turned out to be counterfeit, just worthless paper. Throughout the exhibition, Zoë and Dave learned some valuable tips about how to use the many security features found on Canadian bank notes to help identify fake bills, a valuable skill to have as they entered the workforce.
